Title: Sales Development Representative 
Location: Wrexham 
Salary/Hours: £25,000 – £30,000 dependent on experience/37.5 hours Monday to Friday

Fast-forward two decades and what started as a single, dedicated PA (who’s still with us today) looking after calls for a handful of local clients, is now a 1000-strong team working across continents from our state-of-the-art UK headquarters in Wrexham, and our US office in Atlanta.

The role:

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be on the front line of our growth – connecting with potential customers, uncovering their needs, and setting the stage for success. You’ll own the first impression, delivering insight, energy and value with every call. You’ll generate qualified appointments for our Sector Sales and SME teams, while consistently hitting KPIs and driving measurable results.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Effectively drive outbound telemarketing sales calls, providing product information to assist customers in making informed decisions.
  • Act as a product ambassador, demonstrating expert knowledge of all products relevant to your sector.
  • Utilise the CRM effectively, maximising the tool to drive sales within the team.
  • Build strong, effective relationships with all prospects.
  • Understand business challenges and recommend appropriate solutions for improvement.
  • Follow operational protocols, procedures, and processes to ensure targets and KPIs are met in line with forecasts.
  • Deliver individual quantitative appointment targets, adhering to quality and accuracy standards.
  • Maintain and develop your technical knowledge and expertise, demonstrating a commitment to your personal development.
  • Maintain a strong presence on social media channels to support sector growth.
  • Use resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide support, mentoring, and guidance to colleagues as required.

The person:

  • Act as a Moneypenny brand ambassador, demonstrating strong product and client awareness.
  • Results-orientated and persistent, understanding what is important and the steps needed to achieve success.
  • Target-driven, focused on achieving goals and tenacious in your approach.
  • A strong team player, comfortable collaborating to solve problems and overcome challenges, while equally confident working independently when required.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced working environment, with relevant previous experience.
  • Ability to influence customers using approved sales techniques and by going the “extra mile.”
  • Remain motivated and adaptable in a changing working environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and confident with keyboard skills.
  • Comfortable working on your own initiative, able to identify tasks and take action without prompting.
