Catering Assistant.
Location: Wrexham
Salary: £23,809.50
Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday (8am – 4pm)
The role:
Happy people are pivotal to Moneypenny’s success and as Catering Assistant you play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the Canteen – a hugely important part of The Middle and our employees daily experience of working at Moneypenny. You’ll work within the catering areas, preparing food and serving up our daily menu to our Pennies with a smile. You’ll be in touch with Pennies from all over the business and ensuring they are happy, comfortable, relaxed and of course, well fed!
What you’ll be doing:
- Prepare food in line with our weekly menus and daily soup offering
- Rotating and restocking the drinks fridge
- Unpacking stock when deliveries arrive
- Organising stock in the kitchen and storage room
- Clearing down and cleaning the kitchen work surfaces and appliances, ensuring our
catering areas are spotless at all times, cleaning as you go - Ensuring all crockery, cutlery, pans and another other kitchen equipment is washed
using the dishwasher, as well as emptying the dishwasher and putting everything away
in its right place - Always on hand to provide extra support to the team as required
- Adhere to all Health & Safety and Food Safety policies in place, and understand the
importance of these.
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential
- A team player, high energy and super approachable, happy to get stuck in and help when
needed to get the job done - Thrives in a busy kitchen environment, comfortable with the pace and able to move from
task to task with ease - Self-motivated and proactive with a can-do attitude
- Confident dealing with all levels of the Moneypenny workforce, greeting people warmly and
with a smile - Physically able to lift, twist, bend and comfortable standing for an extended period.
