Job Description
Title: Paid Media Lead
Location: Wrexham/Hybrid
What we do:
We’re the leaders in outsourced calls, live chat and more, delivering brilliant conversations on behalf of businesses of all sizes. Fast-forward two decades and what started as a single, dedicated PA (who’s still with us today) looking after calls for a handful of local clients, is now a 1000-strong team working across continents from our state-of-the-art UK headquarters in Wrexham, and our US office in Atlanta.
The role:
At Moneypenny, we dedicate a significant portion of our marketing budget to Paid Media activity, covering Search, Social, Video, and nearly any other channel we can test. Historically, our efforts have been concentrated on Lead Generation campaigns to drive new leads, opportunities, and clients. However, we’ve increasingly diversified our channel mix, placing greater emphasis on Awareness and Demand Generation strategies.
We’re now hiring a Paid Media Lead to oversee campaigns across our UK and US brands, with a focus on maximizing the value of every £/$ we invest, regardless of the objective. Our Paid Media efforts are currently managed through a combination of agency support, on-house expertise, and consultancy services, though we aim to bring more of this work in-house.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of B2B Paid Media, be experienced in optimising campaigns with long sales cycles, and know how to manage bidding algorithms that drive offline conversations.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategy – Support our Head of Digital to develop and implement Paid Media strategy across UK and US markets in line with varying Lead/Demand Generation objectives and overall business KPIs
- Support in-housing search – We intend to manage all Paid Media campaigns in-house whilst working with specific consultants to keep us up to date with industry developments and challenge our thinking
- Define and optimise channel mix – Run campaigns across, but not limited to; Search, Social, Display/Programmatic, Audio, Video and any other channels you deem relevant
- Budget management – Manage seven figure budgets across the UK and US markets, delivering lead targets and agreed KPIs
- Website optimisation – Proactively improve website performance, which might be CRO, landing page creation or experimenting with lead generation tools
- Reporting – Own Paid Media reporting metrics and keep stakeholders up to date with performance metrics
- Brand & Performance – Drive brand awareness as well as lead generation by working across a range of channels
- Day to Day optimisation – You will optimise performance by working alongside our Digital Marketing Manager, getting hands on into the accounts
- Team engagement – You will work closely with our entire Marketing team, whether that be discussing messaging with our Brand team, briefing Creative on asset requirements or working with Product to understand new developments
The person:
- Proven experience in B2B Paid Media management, and strategic roles that are commercially focused.
- Comfortable with multiple Paid Media platforms including Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, Audio platforms and more.
- Have a data driven mindset and be highly analytical. You’ll be adept in analysing data across all the major ad platforms, tools like Looker Studio and of course, trusty old Excel.
- Driven to achieve and exceed set targets.
- Comfortable explaining complicated paid media tactics to senior stakeholders across the business.
- Have a constant desire to learn more about Paid Media and expand your knowledge.
- Experience in managing and developing direct reports.
What’s included:
- Permanent contract
- 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
- Mental health support (through our Employee Assistant Programme) with access to an on-site mental health counsellor
- Access to our wellbeing room to help enhance your physical and mental wellbeing
- Access to a 24/7 doctor line
